Hey, I found you!

Because of Facebook, I have completely abandoned my blog!  It was a little bittersweet to read back on my old happenings once I found it again.  And here it is almost a year and a half later!

I am clueless how to add a blinkie and how to change the template.  :)

The Twinkies are now in first grade and Manboy will be graduating in June.  He has been thriving in drama and was one of the main characters in The Crucible which ended a few weeks ago.  Twinkies are both in soccer and Josh in baseball.  I'm sad that Angels baseball is over and my team did so horribly.  But, if you know me at all, my word of my life is HOPE - and I always attach it the most to my baseball team.  *grin*

I attended Inspiration Unlimited in August with my mom.  It was easily one of the best events I have attended!  It was small and personal and wonderful - and in Vegas!  But I don't like smoking or gambling so I am just as happy hanging by the pool with a good book.  Now, my mom is a different story!  She could hang out at the slots all day and night.  And my Sista, Michelle, was there and we bonded again quickly.  Such a wonderful person and I'm so proud to call her my Sista from Another Mista.  I took six fabulous classes with six amazing scrapbooking/craft projects.  Plus an additional class at night where I made the cutest Fall mini book from Bella Blvd.  Scrumptious!  Teresa Collins and Ginger Nelson put on an amazing event filled with scrappy goodness - and I have already signed up for next year! Woo hoo!

Earthquake and Pantages...

My mom surprised me with a ticket to go see the play Dirty Dancing as a Mother's Day present. She took me, my buddy, Natasha, and my SIL Deena. It is always a fun time to go to Hollywood and look at all the stars that line the sidewalks. It was a great play, but right in the middle of it I felt some shaking going on! At first I thought it was the man next to me dancing, but very quickly realized that it was an earthquake. It doesn't matter how many I have felt, they still frighten me badly as how do you really know how big it is going to be? Lots of people ran from the theater, but amazingly the actors did not miss a beat. Natasha and I looked at each other and held on to our armrests. I kept looking up at the ceiling as the Pantages is an old building with huge ornate fixtures everywhere! After the play everyone was standing around discussing the earthquake. Deena and I saw a Channel 5 news van and we were chosen to be interviewed! So funny, I have had many people now tell me they saw me on TV! Definitely a night to remember!

Happy Life....

June - I love June! But this year is even better. Been in my new home for more than three months. The kids and I are happy. We planted flowers in tons of pots all over our patio last night. After getting back from California Adventure. Pooped and happy - that sounds funny! Our yard is huge. Right now I am listening to Ben pitch to the twins - that is how big the yard is - they can play baseball! They have a new playyard that Aunt Deena gave us. Swings and a little fort.

Finished with my charms for the CE charm swap. There are so many nice people on the Yahoo Board. I have been RAK'd three times (Random Acts of Kindness). I have been shopping and plan to RAK people who are in my birthday month. It is so exciting and heart-lifting to get a surprise in the mail, isn't it?

I also made reservations to take the kids to Kauai. I know, I know, who has the money? Certainly not me! But I have been steno-ing away and pinching pennies like crazy and I am determined to have a blast! Lying in the sun, getting brown, eating shaved ices. Can't wait!

Life is good.....

Getting Ready For CE!

OHHH! The excitement is building already! I am planning for Creative Escape 2009! I am in a charm swap and a page swap so I have been designing away. And also looking for the best deal for my scrappy supplies on line - so much fun! So many of my CE 2008 and CKU friends are going - and some great buddies from the So. CA to Provo Bus Tour - Lori, Elizabeth, and Linda - cannot WAIT to catch up with you all! And it isn't until the end of August - boo hoo!

This past week has been very exhausting. The twins had this horrible virus. In and out of the doctor's office and even a trip to the ER. Fevers up to 104 and vomiting. Poor, poor sweet babies....they looked so pale and thin. I am so glad they are feeling better. I had many people praying for them and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart....and they are very excited to go back to school and see Ms. Sandra and Miss Amanda.

Still plugging away at my Avon business. I let it fall by the wayside during my move and everyone's sicknesses, but I'm back on top of it again. Attending meetings and recruiting - it sure would be nice to make a living doing something I love! I love doing steno at home, but it is impossible to do it when the kids are awake - I just can't hear the dang officers! :)

Are You Ready For Some Baseball????

Yay! It is time for my Angels! I have now been to 3 out of 3 games! The Angels Stadium is my home away from home and I literally skip into the stadium! Love it there! Last Saturday I was blessed to sit in a SUITE and watch the game....and ate a fab dinner at the Knothole Club! See, April is starting out wonderfully!

The roses are blooming in my new backyard - big, FAT, red, beautiful roses! Hope Bella doesn't see them and decide to taste them. Puppies are pains, aren't they? Well, she must be around six months now.

The kids are excited about Spring Break next week. Easter at my mom's. Sigh, life is evening out...thank you, God!

March sucked....

So glad this month is almost over! My divorce, kiddos sad, car accident, moving, my phone fried, my computer crashed, my doggy was killed....oh geesh!!!!

April will be wonderful! Flowers are blooming, blue skies, puffy white clouds....new home, great family and friends! And I was invited to attend Creative Escapes 2009! Woo hoo! My awesome friend, Shannon, hooked me up with a connect and I am officially in! Last year I looked forward with huge anticipation to the event for an entire year and then I was so sick when I got there! Spent the whole time in the room - blech! Tim Holtz and Heidi Swapp here I come!

This will be my only scrapping event this year so let the festivities begin! RAKs, swaps, friends, Yahoo Groups - yayayayayayayayay! And my mom got in, too, thanks to Shannon!

La Vida Loca...

Yup, my crazy life....so much has happened the past few weeks. I am now officially separated from Tom. The kids and I are in a new house. My internet is now working so I can start doing my steno work and make some money. I'm sick, as well as all of the kids. And moving positively sucks!

Cleaning out our old house was awful - so many memories and hopes. Even though I believe in my heart of hearts that it is better that Tom and I are apart it still hurts that my dream of how my marriage was supposed to be is done and broken. He proved that completely the last few days we were together when I had to call 911. Long story....buy me a drink some day and I will fill you in.

So life goes on. A different kind of normal. I have to register the kiddos for kindergarten this week. 5 years old - when did that happen? And Ben reminded me today that he will be 16 in three months. How can that be? I feel like I'm 16! I can now play music in my own house and dance around and be silly. Always walking on eggshells with Tom. I have to find out who Jen is again without the shadow of "Grumpy." Life will be better....
